Child and Infant Safety Policy
Version 1 · effective 8 July 2026
We love hosting families. Vilanculos is a beachfront environment with real hazards, so we ask every family to read this short policy.
Supervision
- Children count toward the 8-guest Unit maximum regardless of age.
- An adult must actively supervise children at all times — particularly at the pool, on stairs and balconies, on the beach and near the sea. Our team cannot supervise children.
Pool
- The pool is not fenced and has no lifeguard.
- Children may never be at the pool without an adult in arm's reach of non-swimmers.
- No glass in the pool area; no diving in shallow water; no swimming during quiet hours (22:00–07:00).
Balconies and stairs
- Do not leave children unattended on balconies or stairs.
- Do not move furniture against balcony railings where it can be climbed.
Beach and sea
- Tides and currents change quickly; keep children within reach in the water.
- Swim at daylight, never alone, and mind local guidance on marine life.
Infants
- Travel cots or high chairs can be requested before arrival via stay@gineysview.com; availability is limited and confirmed in writing.
- Infants sleeping in a travel cot still count toward registered guests for safety records.
Our part
We keep safety equipment maintained, provide emergency contact details in every Unit and in your arrival instructions, and respond immediately on WhatsApp +27 61 930 1924 to any safety concern.
Parents and guardians accept that use of the pool, beach and property by children is at the supervising adult's responsibility, to the extent permitted by applicable law.
